it depends on a few things. most notable the amp if I take my V and play it through my marshall then play it through a fender twin reverb its going to sound VERY differnt. the pickups are a big thing aswell. once again my V has an x2n and paf pro in her. but if she had some old gibson 69's or something she would sound more creamer and less 'harsh' (but fuck that harshness is good)

Its got a good crisp tone, very clean sounding. If you like more of a deeper bass tone,I wouldn't recommend it.

Im pretty sure by clean he doesnt mean like the clean channel on a guitar amp or somethign but that the notes dont fuz together and become all muddy
but dude, check out carvin basses, they look nice and I have never heard anything bad about anything they make

anyone played a BC Rich that can tell me how the neck feels? maybe even compare the neck to the neck of another bass so i could atleast get a sense of the BC Rich's neck? im really looking into em but cant find a single one around here to take for a spin.

the guy at portland percussion tried to sell me a shitty bass from Samick (sp), who according to him, is the biggest and best metal bass company on the planet............ so i dont trust em with anything anymore. ironically a friend of mine went there later that day and the same guy tried to sell him a fender or somethin, tellin him that its the best for thrash metal...............we had a good laugh over those two incidents
