ive got an ibanez g-series. its not bad at all for a starter bass, the neck is pretty damn amazing for an axe that cheap. but since im no longer a "starter" i have no need for a starter kit type of deal so im saving up for this badass: and i also want to get an 8 string, i played one and it sounded very nice.

Might have been a Dean, not sure..........but it was nice, not one of those cheap Rogue 8 strings.

well i write alot of chilled basslines for one of my bands, the kind of basslines you'd find in a coldplay song 'cos thats the kind of band it is, real easy but catchy. i've been tabbing alot of reggae recently so i've also been writing reggae basslines here and there. and i play/learn stuff like isis, cult of luna, red sparowes every now and then i also just write little catchy riffs for my own amusement, usually pretty cheesy sounding, kinda classical.

well i like to pretend im a bass god late at night......then the next morning i find out what i wrote earlier was total shit. personally i love folk/viking metal so i try to write riffs in that style but its definatly not made for lead bass. lately ive been going more technical, like CoB/insomnium/nile-ish, so im gonna keep my lyrics folky but my playing more heavy and technical
