Whats your fave bass companies and whats your fave bass that they make? Mine are Warwick with the thumb bolt-on, i own a thumb bolt-on and its so fucking nice, i really want just a thumb though , but they're more expensive as they're neckthru And i love Ibanez, especially the SR1000EWN this is the next bass i want

thats fucking awesome, the string spacing looks interesting, it may just be the angle but on that pic the distance between the E and A and the D and G strings look quite big compared to between the A and D. Good for slap and pop methinks... the customization is just so bloody cool, these are another to add to my list

i was checking out that Carvin site (that blueburst color made me almost piss myself!) and am wondering how threading the strings through the body improves sustain. are they stretched more?

it definitally improves it, at least for guitar so its gotta be the same for bass, i think its because it goes through the body and works off the wood more it gives it more sustain

ah, makes sense. now i would buy the cheapass epiphone version of this bass if the neck didnt suck. the shape is so comfortable whether youre standing or sitting. plus ya get a switch to play with and make it look like youre doing something amazing. maybe i can make a frankenstein bass using the explorer body.....

the shape is so comfortable whether youre standing or sitting. makes sense... my les paul bottom curve sits between the two pickups so the guitar is actually too far back when your sitting down and resting the curve on your leg... I noticed that one is under the bridge pickup
