today i played a 12 string, yes a 12 string, bass and it had a a very nice sound. since i dont have the $1000 for the damn thing, i figure someone on here can help me out replicating the sound. the guy at the store reccommended a whammy pedal to add the octaves in a 12 string to a normal 4 string bass. anyone have experiance with whammy pedals that could help me out?

i got that on my digitech board, it sounds kind of stupid on guitar... but im not sure about on bass. So a 12 string bass would be a 6 with doubled up strings right?
Im sure it would sound fairly good but you just wouldnt be able to play a single string. Ill post a little sample with it tomorrow to show you the sound of mine if you want.
