Please make a few posts on the forum before connecting to the hub. This way we know who you are. This is a private hub for MetalMedia members only, but all new forum members are welcome to join.
[glow=red,2,300]HOW TO CONNECT, STEP-BY-STEP[/glow]
Step 1 - Download and install DC++ Software (if you do not currently have it). Follow THIS LINK and choose your nearest location to download from.[/b]
Step 2- Install the software you just downloaded by double clicking the setup file.[/b]
Step 3 - Open DC++ From your start menu or desktop. Enter your MetalMedia username (no spaces allowed). On the left side, click SHARING. Add your own MP3 and VIDEO folders then click ok.[/b]
Step 4 - Click FILE, then QUICK CONNECT. Enter 24.109.157.62 and press OK. You should then be connected.[/b]
You should now see the online members in the right side of the screen. If you are having problems connecting, post here and I will try to help you. or take a look at this help page.

[glow=red,2,300]If you are behind a Router...[/glow]
If you are behind a router, please follow these instructions in order to connect to other members of the server.
1. You must get your IP address from www.whatismyip.com
2. Get the brand & model of router you have (usually located on the top or back of the router).
3. Find your router in this list and click it.
www.portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/DC++/DC++index.htm
4.Follow the instructions on how to foreward port 10000 on UDP and TCP.
.....Some routers you will need to know your local IP. Go to Start/Run type "command" and hit ok. Type "ipconfig". It will say IP address 192.168.0.1 (or something). The last digit, 1 in this case you will have to enter in on the router setup screen.

5.In DC++ go to File-Settings-Connection Settings
Check Direct Connection. Enter port 10000 in the TCP & UDP boxes. Enter your IP address from step 1 in the IP box. Click ok.
Restart DC++ and connect to the server. You should now have access to all shared files. If not, as for my help. - MorbidGuitar

The old video server is located under my name MorbidGuitar. Right click my name on the right side panel, select "Get File List".
A window will load and open containing all 600+ Videos and many more things.... #goodidea#
Or to search for a video, mp3 or whatever, click the magnifying glass button at the top of the screen. Enter your search keywords, select which type of file you want (video, mp3.....) and Click SEARCH.

You can make DC++ automatically connect to the MetalMedia hub by following these instructions. Connect to the hub (as described above), On the bottom of the screen you will see a tab called "MetalMedia....." Right click this tab and select "add to favorites". Now, click the Yellow star button at the top of the screen. Put a check mark in the box beside MetalMedia, then press ok.
If you are behind a router or LAN (network) it's possible you might have a harder time connecting. Advanced setup will be described in this section soon. Please send me a private message and i will try and guide you through it if you are having trouble with it.
