i love trance, drum n bass, dub, dance. depending on my mood of course don't like house music. Thats all I hear, so i got addicted to it. They got some good stuff, but old school house with divas and funky singing arent my thing. I like the newer house, with a little bit of the classics.

I been listening alot to the new Kanye West "808's and heartbreak" John Legend "Evolver" Micheal Jackson "Number ones" Frank Sinatra,Sammy Davis Jr,Dean Martin "Christmas w/The Ratpack" Miles Davis w/ John Coltrane songs.
I'm sure you guys are like WTF?! But I've always been rather diverse when it comes to my music. I find it makes me a better musician having such a diverse taste in music. I have to say the Micheal Jackson "Number Ones" CD is the one I listen to the most of non metal. He may have his issues, But he is a hell of an artist. I truly believe he is a genius as far as being musician but completely fucked up as far as social skill, etc. Reminds me of people like Einstein. Dude was so fucking smart when it came to math, physics, etc but the dude couldn't remember where he lived.
Anyways so thats the non metal music I have been listening to lately.

I find most pop music nowadays is very unoriginal and quite distasteful. This is my opinion of course. I leave most of it for the teenie bopping, trashy, bar skanks. There are however some artists that come out in the pop scene that I think are damn good at what they do and have a unique/original talent to them. I was going to go on a huge rant on how alot of pop music all sounds the same and is so generic. However, each and every genre has that. So really it would be pointless to even mention anything about. Infact it was completely pointless for me to even mention the fact that I wanted to rant about the cookie cutters of the industry because its pointless I also find myself completely amazed by alot of the acoustic artists that are out there. City and Colour being a prime example. Amazing talent in my eyes. If there was a sound I would go after in the folk/acoustic genre it would be theirs.
