BEHEMOTH Films 'Prometherion' Video After only a handful of Ozzfest performances, Polish extreme metal titans BEHEMOTH are already being hailed as this year's breakthrough artist due primarily to their unrelenting energy, savage brutality and uncompromising vision. The group go onstage at 4:15 p.m. everyday in the direct support, non-rotating slot right before second stage headliners HATEBREED, so fans can expect a lengthy set backed with their biggest stage production yet. Their much anticipated and critically acclaimed new album, "The Apostasy", is now available in stores. BEHEMOTH shot a new video for the track "Prometherion" with acclaimed director Soren (ALL THAT REMAINS, UNEARTH) yesterday in Los Angeles. Look for it everywhere early next month. Soren states: "Somewhere between the ideal of heaven and reality of hell falls the new BEHEMOTH video. An expression of the fallenness of man and the will to crawl through our own painful condition towards hope. This is a painful video to make and watch." To celebrate the fact that Ozzfest is free this year, BEHEMOTH wants to keep things free with their very own giveaway to the "Ultimate BEHEMOTH Fan." One lucky winner will take home the entire BEHEMOTH merchandise line, not to mention, they can wear all that gear while listening to the entire BEHEMOTH music catalog as they play the tunes on their very own autographed ESP guitar. That's right, ONE winner will take home the entire summer BEHEMOTH merch line in addition BEHEMOTH's music catalog as well as an autographed ESP EX 50 guitar (with case). So as to not ignore the other fans who gave it a shot, the band would like to give five additional people an autographed "Lies" poster and autographed copy of their latest release "The Apostasy". Check out Ozzfest.com for more info.

An announcement on the official Benemoth website that:
"Behemoth has inked a North American deal with Metal Blade Records and with Nuclear Blast for European territory."
"The band recently finished up an extremely successful year which saw the band as direct support to headliners Hatebreed on the infamous second stage at Ozzfest and a co-headlining spot on the Radio Rebellion with Job for a Cowboy. Behemoth played over 160 shows in 2007 and has no plans on slowing down for 2008. Expect to see a new release in the form of an EP out in the summer/fall of 2008 along with more touring on both continents."

Behemoth frontman Nergal has just revealed that the band will be filming their show in Paris La Locomotive on February 17.
"I've been thinking about this DVD for a long time now. Our last release "Crush.Fukk.Create" seems to be pretty outdated. We've released two records in new line up since then, we've toured the world few times and definitely grew as a band and developed our stage show. It's time for something fresh and exciting!
We've managed to collect over 100 tapes documenting all the touring for our last two records. Some of the most insane footage was caught there. Fall/winter release on Regain records is planned."

Behemoth's recently filmed video for the song "Inner Sanctum" can be viewed by clicking the link below. The clip was shot with director Mateusz "Mania" Winkiel. Commented by the band's mainman Nergal: "What's up everybody! Here we finally come with our brand new video… surprised? I fuckin' hope so. I'm still blown away by the effect myself. Why? Coz it looks like NOTHING I've ever seen in the metal genre. Lately it felt like we've pretty much explored every territory in the world of music videos, especially with our last clip for "At The Left Hand Ov God". This time we took completely opposite artistic approach… we went black and white, absolutely no effects, analogue film tape… and something we're doing for the first time ever: acting. I truly believe this bizarre video will show you a little bit different aspect of Behemoth's complex nature. Watch and enjoy!" vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=44669742I really dont know why they even made this. The video doesnt fit the song at all does it?

Behemoth is in the final stages of the songwriting process for their upcoming, yet untitled album. The record is tentatively expected sometime in the fall via Metal Blade (US), Nuclear Blast (Europe). Nergal and Co. are planning to enter the studio in the middle of February. Behemoth's mainman Nergal has issued the following report:
"As I write this, we have seven songs that are completely written and arranged though there's still leads missing in some of them. It all sounds tight as fuck and very fresh! There are two more songs under working so after New Year break we should start working on it. I want this album to be very consistent, intense and catchy at the same time. Judging by what what's been composed so far, that's exactly where we are with this new material.
Last year was a very productive year for all of us… we've toured US, Australia and New Zealand, covered most of prestigious festivals in Europe and invaded virgin markets in Asia: Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand. It was also the first time since ages that I managed to take two months off from any band activity. I travelled a lot, recharged my batteries and decompressed myself. I've been collecting ideas, riffs and pieces of lyrics throughout the whole 2008 but it was in October where I seriously kicked my ass and started full on work on the album. It went pretty rough in the very first stages but the more stuff was written the smoother it went."
I must confess that I'm way more excited about this record than I was for "The Apostasy". It's probably the whole label situation that we had to deal back then, Inferno's injury that caused crazy deadlines that completely drained the energy out of my system… I even started treating that album as unwanted child. Weird, because from time perspective it's a great one. This time though everything was planned much in advanced. I found time to live my life, get some energy back, get inspired and so on… when we met in October it was obvious that all of us were really hungry for making new music. It's definitely 100% Behemoth. I would risk to say that we do have our own style but it's still improving, evolving in different directions every time we approach new project. Most of the songs are the really fast, technical and intense, at the same time there's a lot of diversity. There's even a very slow, massive song that's probably the most epic tracks in Behemoth's history. Everything sounds more serious and… dangerous (I love that word, ha ha). There's probably more sinister vibe in our music this time too. I'm completely stoked and I just can't wait til we enter the studio!"
